Have the Attitude of Christ

Have the Attitude of Christ: The Charm of Home

Is there any encouragement from belonging to Christ? Any comfort from his love? Any fellowship together in the Spirit? Are your hearts tender and compassionate? Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one mind and purpose.
Don't be selfish; don't try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don't look out for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.
                                                                      Philippians 2:1-4

Finally, all of you should be of one mind. Sympathize with each other. Love each other as brothers and sisters. Be tenderhearted, and keep a humble attitude.
                                                                      1 Peter 3:8

Don’t be concerned for your own good but for the good of others.
                                                                       1 Corinthians 10:24

Christ was our perfect example.

You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.

Though he was God,
he did not think of equality with God
   as something to cling to.
Instead, he gave up his divine privileges;
he took the humble position of a slave
and was born as a human being.
When he appeared in human form,
he humbled himself in obedience to God
and died a criminal's death on a cross.

Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor
and gave him the name above all other names,
that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
   in heaven and on earth,
and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.

                                                                      Philippians 2:5-11

Christ is the visible image of the invisible God.
He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation,

                                                                      Colossians 1:15

"For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

                                                                    Matthew 20:28

Show the results of Christ's dying for you.

Work hard to show the results of your salvation, obeying God with deep reverence and fear. For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.

                                                                    Philippians 2:12-13

If you chose sin, it is just going to separate you from God.

It's your sins that have cut you off from God. Because of your sins, he has turned away and will not listen anymore.

                                                                     Isaiah 59:2

Model Christ.

Do everything without complaining and arguing, so that no one can criticize you. Live clean innocent lives as children of God, shining like bright lights in a world full of crooked and perverse people.

                                                                     Philippians 2:14-15

“You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father."

                                                                     Matthew 5:14-16
Shine.

All glory and honor to our Lord Jesus Christ,
